Yes, we clean homes on Sanibel. Most island jobs are a soft wash of a raised home with its stairs, decks and the ground-level parking area underneath, which usually runs a little above a one-story Cape Coral house at $375–$600 because of the height.
Sanibel is a different kind of job from the Cape. Many homes, especially those rebuilt since Hurricane Ian in 2022, stand on pilings or raised foundations, with living space a floor up, long exterior stairs and wraparound decks. They catch salt and sand from the Gulf breeze, and homes that sit empty for months between seasons can go green before anyone notices.

Raised homes, stairs and decks
A raised home has more wall, more railings and more stairs than a ground-level house of the same size. The walls get a soft wash; the stairs and decks get a careful clean at the pressure the material can take, whether that is pressure-treated wood, composite or coated concrete. The parking and storage area underneath is washed last, so it does not catch the drips.
Salt, sand and sun
Salt leaves a dull film on windows, railings and metal fixtures, and corrodes them if it stays. Sand blows into screen enclosures and pool decks. A regular rinse and soft wash keeps salt from building up, and we flush railings, light fixtures and pool cage frames with fresh water at the end.
Working around the island's wildlife
A large part of Sanibel is protected wildlife habitat, and many homes sit beside ponds, mangroves or the refuge. We use the mildest products that will do the job, keep runoff on the property and out of ponds and ditches, and avoid working in a way that disturbs nesting birds near the house. During sea turtle nesting season, which runs through the summer, we keep any work lights off on beachfront properties.
Getting it done while you are away
Plenty of Sanibel owners live elsewhere for part of the year. We can schedule the clean for when the house is empty, confirm access with you or your property manager, and send photos of the finished work so you can see it before you come back.

Sanibel questions
Do I need to be on the island for the job?
No. As long as we can get access to an outdoor spigot and the areas being cleaned, we can do the work and send photos afterwards.
Is the causeway toll added to the price?
No. It is part of our cost of working on the island and is built into the same prices we use elsewhere.
Can you clean salt off the windows?
We rinse windows as part of the house wash, which removes most salt film. Detailed window cleaning is a separate trade.
